For finding the right person

Skip the strangers. Hire the plumber your community uses.

Refind shows you which workers your circle — and their circles — actually trust. Faster than a Google search. Less awkward than texting eight friends.

What's in it for you

A smaller, better internet — built from your phone book.

01

No reviews from strangers

Stars are noise. Refind shows you names you know, not aggregate scores from a thousand people who aren't you.

02

Always free for you

Customers never pay. The worker pays a small flat fee, only after they accept the job. No surprise booking fees.

03

Quiet by design

No public profiles. No ratings to scroll. Your contacts are encrypted and only ever visible to you — matched by phone number, never shown to anyone else.

04

Vouches, not requests

Saving someone counts. You don't have to message your friends to learn that Maya and Sam both use the same electrician.

05

Trades, not stuff

Refind is just for people whose job is to physically show up at your door. Plumbers, electricians, movers, dog walkers, piano tuners.

06

Local by accident

There are no algorithms picking neighborhoods. The map of your network does that, naturally.

The trust signal

Two friends, one phone number. That's all it takes.

When two of your contacts have the same plumber saved, that number quietly rises in your view. Not because someone wrote 800 words about him. Because someone you trust — twice — saved his digits.

The math is simple. The product is built so this is the only thing that matters.

Refind texts Joe
Hey Joe — Aaron saved your number, slow drip under the kitchen sink. Any chance this week? refind.so/r/abc123
Yep, Thursday morning works.

He shows up. The pipe is fixed.

Save him to your circle. That's the only "rating" Refind knows.

FAQ

Common questions

Do my contacts get uploaded somewhere?
Refind matches people by a one-way hash of phone numbers — never by name. Your contacts are stored encrypted, visible only to you, and never shown to other members. Two people saving the same plumber surface as a single match in your own view, with no readable identity exposed to anyone else.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. Customers never pay. The worker pays a small flat lead fee — set per worker — only when they accept a job. Refind keeps the lead fee.
What if my friends aren't on Refind?
It still works — most people start with a small network. You can save workers from your existing contacts immediately, and the network fills in as friends join.
Is this just for plumbers?
It's for any tradesperson — anyone whose job is to physically show up. Movers, painters, electricians, dog walkers, piano tuners, doulas, handymen, AC techs, the lot.
Can workers fake vouches?
Faking a vouch means faking your friend's actual phone number being saved into their actual contacts. The fact that it's so hard is the whole point.

Start with the four people you'd already call back.

Save your plumber, your electrician, your mover. The graph builds itself from there.
